Easter and Flickr Gallery

Well, I just got back up from a quick trip down to the Springs for Easter. We had a BBQ at my aunt's and uncle's place in Monument. Met some of their friends and hung out. We also pulled out the parallel bars and all had a go on those. Alex (my cousin) is an outstanding gymnast and he easily showed us all up! I was probably the least graceful of the group; I just hung and spun my legs around and yelled "OLYMPICS!" over and over again. Sadly, I have video of this, but it's really funny, so if you want to see it, let me know and I'll send it to you!

Then, the ladies went inside for coffee, the kids went out to shoot water balloons with a sling shot, leaving the adult males outside by themselves! Thankfully, my Uncle Tim happened to have some black powder and a miniature cannon laying around. And there was a ton of Easter candy. So what to do? How about blow the smithereens out of Easter candy?! So we did. And I, for the first time, witnessed it raining candy. Life is good.

Then we went to their basement for a jam session. My other cousin, Kris, is in a band and they've got all kinds of neat sound equipment. So, my brothers, cousins, even my dad (!) and I rocked out. We are rock stars.
