First a disclaimer:
- It's one in the morning, and I'm exhausted.
- This entry is for my benefit, no one else's.
- This is not a pity party. I hate pity and I don't want any.
- This is in no logical order. I just typed things as they came to me.
Like I said, I'm exhausted. I am working 50+ hours a week at work, taking 18 credit hours of course work, most of which is mindless busy-work that I find incredibly dull and unchallenging; I have to spend a total of 64 hours observing classes and 20 hours of service work. I don't have any days off. I have classes Monday through Friday and I work Wednesday through Sunday. What's worse is I'm bringing this all on myself. I knew what I was getting into when I started this insane semester and I can't and won't change it. Fortunately, I'm doing well in everything. Work is going very well. Classes are going very well. Everyone seems to be pleased with what I'm doing. So I guess I shouldn't be complaining. The problem is, in the few fleeting moments of free time I have, I cannot get all this shit off my mind. That's why I'm up right now. I've got an insane mix of lectures, seating charts, fire alarms and police calls racing through my brain. I figured maybe if I got some of this stuff onto the screen, it might help to get it off my mind. I'm watching A Bridge Too Far, which, while a good history movie, is incredibly boring. I'm hoping it'll put me to sleep. No luck so far. I have to go to work in five hours, then class, then work until 3am. Take some time off, you say? I wish I could afford to, but as all of my friends are sick of hearing me say, it's a means to an end. It'll all be worth it. I'm going to try to make it home to the Springs for a couple days over Spring Break. I'll try to fix up one of our old bikes so I can start biking to work and classes. And in that precious free time, I'll go for a ride. Maybe that'll take my mind off things. So, if you've made it this far, congratulations. And if you've made it this far without rolling your eyes, even better.

For a ride you say...a ride on what? Did I tell you that I got bit by one of the horses on Monday. Yeah it hurt like a SOB, but its become a very interesting bruise. Damn mare anyway. Nobody's going to roll their eyes at your insane schedule..point and laugh perhaps, but no eye rolling here. Just kidding. A Bridge to Far is a good movie, but probably not boring enough to put you to sleep, perhaps try the first hour of Tora Tora Tora...or maybe umm I don't know I'll have to think. Try to get some sleep (its what normal people do at night) during spring break in between fixing your bike...it'll be good for you. I wish I got a spring break...{sighs with nostalgia}
